SIXth Grade
Latin placement will be based on what Latin was taken in prior years.
- Latin 1 will use First Form Latin.
- Latin 2 will use Second Form Latin.
Language Arts will include the study of literature, grammar, and composition. Students will learn about the historical background of the literature. The primary focus in composition will be the creation of sound arguments.

Composition:
- Classical Composition
This course will build on skills previously taught. Skills practiced include adding and subtracting mixed numbers, converting decimals to fractions and vice versa, ratios, proportions, percentages, an introduction to personal finance, and more.

Students will gain a historic overview of Greek civilization. They will also spend the year reading Homer’s The Odyssey.

Students will study the history of Texas.

Students will learn about the rise of Christianity and the effect it had on neighboring countries through the study of the ancient Middle East.
